DESTINY
DESTINY
December, 2018 it was the last night of my solo trip a regular winter night. As soon as I got out of the party I decided to take a walk by the sea.so I just took off my shoes and jacket as I wanted to feel lighter. I could hear the roar of the surf, feel the sand between my toes, salt water in my mouth, aromatic sea air in my nose, I could see the sky was black tranquility married to a poetry of stars. It was the softness that called body and brain to rest and let the heart go to its steady rhythm. It was then when I got a whiff of a perfumed cloud along the way I was headed to. It smelled cinnamon and vanilla, and something else something tempting yet somehow different. I imagined a dynamic person from some other world smelling incredible. You know it had a nostalgic effect a smell that connects you to here and now and to the memories of the past. So I followed the trail left by I don’t know whom after some distance I saw a girl sitting there like she was waiting the waves to stop crashing, like even if the glasses shattered the ship sank to the depth of the sea she wouldn’t move. Between the jet black hair and black silk lucent gown, the pearly white skin was visible. So I stood there for moment looking at her inhaling the delightful fragrances and there was no other place to be more therapeutic than this. At that point I remembered a statement that I heard somewhere “There is always one scent one fragrance for everybody and when you find yours it has the power to change you”. So I ambled towards her and at a maintained distance I sat down and asked her “hey! You lost somewhere?”, she took a deep breath while tucking her silky soft hairs behind her ears giving a glimpse of pale shimmer of her pearl earrings, pearls! I could tell that she was very subtle and crude with her choices, I could tell she required no special cutting or polishing to maximize her lustrous beauty. “I was but not now” she said. “What do you mean?” I asked her. “have you ever loved somebody so much that you could literally give an arm for him, when you know he is your heart and you are his armor and you could destroy anybody you try to harm him but what happens when karma turns around you and your love bites you and everything you stand for just breaks you in every possible way, I was lost in the paradox of love”, she sighed. I was there watching her broken and full half empty, bursting at her seams like I wanted to make her dream again, love again, feel again, complete again, like I wanted to make her heart steady in twisting tides. “Is there something I could do? Is there anything you need? I asked her. I was waiting there for her and she was waiting for the waves to stop crashing the glasses shattered ships sank to the depth of the sea but she did not move and in that silent storm it hit me that the reason she stood on her ground so firmly was because she was all she needed to be, not mine to fix not anybody’s else’s to fix, she did not need to be fixed. She just stood up there “I need not to get lost again, paradox is not for me “was all she said and walked away leaving her scent of change, even before I could tell her that I understand how every crack in her is filled with golden sand, her dust brighter than the white shining bright. She left and I didn’t even ask her name but I guess her name was Destiny and I followed mine.
